MAQAM IBRAHIM is the holy place in kaba shareef, according to history when Hazrat ibrahim (A.S) waz building kaba shareef, it came from jannat (haven), Hazrat ibrahim (A.S) used to stand over it to built. There are also a foot prints of Hazrat ibrahim (A.S) on thiz stone.

To complete the upper part of the walls of the Kaaba, Hazrat Ibrahim(AS) stood upon a stone which he moved along when each section was completed. When the Kaaba was finished, the stone was left outside the Kaaba, close to the eastern wall of the sanctuary. It became famous as the Maqam Ibrahim (the place of Ibrahim). Today, the Maqam Ibrahim, the stone is located in front of the door of the Kaaba. The boulder is about 2 x 3 feet. Where it stands today is the place where Ibrahim offered up his prayers.
