Jaipur (India): Yusuf a 10 month old Jaipur
boy udergone a successful liver
transplant.Operation was done in apollo
Hospital New Delhi.

Dr. Anupam Sibal a Senior Peditric
Gastroenterologist said liver transplant
was the only option to save the child who
was brought in a very serious condition
and situation was worsening each passing
day.

Initial chalange was whether the dhild was
fit for the surgery as his weight was 5kg.
for six months Yusuf was given tube
feeding to increase his weight upto six kg.

Later his father Mohammad Hafiz donated
a part of his liver to save the child. A
successful surgery was performed on FEb. 29th this year. Now the Yusuf has 8 kg weight
he is active too. The child will require
medicine rs. 6000 to 8000 monthly through
out his life forthe proper function of liver.
Yusuf the only son of his father Hafiz,42,
who also having 5 daughters.
